Fueling Hawaii

Fueling Earth’s Most Remote Civilization

NorthStar Energy fuels the 50th state through the Hawaii Petroleum family of businesses, which it acquired in 2007.  Hawaii Petroleum is a leading independent distributor of petroleum products and lubricants in Hawaii’s Outer Islands.  As a group of businesses, Hawaii Petroleum serves local commercial and retail customers through a network of cardlock stations known as the Hawaii Fuel Network (HFN), Ohana-branded fuel stations, and Minit Stop convenience stores. Hawaii Petroleum also provides bunkering services on Maui and the Big Island, distributing an average of 50 million gallons of fuel annually.

Local Expertise

Under second generation family leadership, Hawaii Petroleum has developed extensive experience in supporting its customers through significant events such as hurricanes, volcanoes, and other realities unique to this remote location.

Committed to Hawaii

Truly a family business, Hawaii Petroleum employees are committed to the local community and understand that the needs of customers extend beyond the pump.  Through the Community Giving Program, Hawaii Petroleum donates thousands of dollars each year to local charities and nonprofits, embodying the belief that the Hawaiian tradition of giving is what keeps families and Hawaii strong.
