Alaska Petroleum Distributing has been serving the North Pole and surrounding areas since 1981. With strong local brand recognition and a family-owned company culture, APD has a balanced commercial and retail customer portfolio, delivering heating oil, gasoline, and diesel fuels. It is the largest fuel distributor in the interior. Recognizing its complementary services, including linehaul and truck maintenance capabilities, NorthStar acquired APD in 2019.

APD prioritizes environmental safety, designing and constructing the first state-approved, double-walled fuel storage tanks. Alaska Petroleum has over 100 tanks of various sizes, which is an offered service to contractors throughout the state. In addition, APD handles oil spill contingency products, including pads and barrels.
