Inlet Petroleum Company was founded in 1986, originally as a Chevron distributor. Today, it is the only Chevron 1st Source Elite marketer in the state. Saltchuk acquired Inlet in 2005.  Upon acquisition, Inlet’s operations became a part of Delta Western, infusing the customer service culture with equal emphasis on safety. In 2018, NorthStar Energy recognized the enduring power of the Inlet brand which customers associated with exceptional service and thought leadership.  After a refresh, Inlet Energy was welcomed to NorthStar’s family of Alaska businesses. Housed in a newly constructed warehouse on Ship Avenue in Anchorage, Inlet Energy is now equipped with over 50,000 square feet of warehouse storage, over 100,000 gallons of bulk lubricant storage, and its own fleet of bulk fuel and lubricant trucks.
